“My father’s film”, a first feature film in heritage

Independent cinematographer and editor of documentaries, Jules Guarneri signs his first feature film with My Father’s Movie, awarded the Special Jury Prize at Visions du Réel 2022. Originally, the filmmaker explains that he started filming his family to pass the time between shoots where he officiated as a director of photography. He thus discovered real characters: “I said to myself that there was a film to be made when I started to show my images, which made people laugh a lot and that pushed me to continue, because it going on a lot of things.”
